Marti & Blade Win Mules at B & T Days!

Holmesville, Ohio-
As the early morning sun lights up the picturesque Amish community just north of Millersburg, Ohio there are two Black & Tan Coonhounds standing heads above the rest and making their owners very proud. While most are rolling up their tents and packing up their gear, the owners of Kansas Marti and Scioto Blade are loading their brand new Kawasaki Mules.
Kansas Marti, a five year old Black & Tan female, owned and handled by Blaise Bauer of Girard, Kansas won the prestigious 2009 AKC Black & Tan Breed Championship hunt held on Thursday night of Black & Tan Days.
The keys to the second Kawasaki Mule go to the High Scoring Black & Tan of the entire  week, Scioto Blade. He posted an awesome three consecutive cast wins totaling 900+.
Blade is a one year old Black & Tan male owned by Greg and Larry Maynard of Portsmouth, Ohio and handled by veteran Tim Waters of Hammersville, Ohio.
Congratulations go out to all those involved in the breeding, training and handling of Kansas Marti and Scioto Blade for a job well done.
Kudos to Dean Miller and the crew at Killbuck Valley Sportsman Association of Holmesville, Ohio for putting on another outstanding event. If you’ve never been there you are truly missing out on a grand experience!
