Rod Hanawalt wins the Heartland Classic!

Nashua, IA - Rod Hanawalt of Ionia, IA, handling Wapsie River Rufus, a six-year old Treeing Walker male co-owned by Brad "Gomer" Messersmith has won the 2009 AKC Heartland Classic "Four-Wheeler Hunt!"
Youth hunter Jacob Bingham, hunting Darrell Strugill's Potomac River Son finished second and is the 2009 AKC Heartland Classic Reserve Champion. Jacob took home the Reserve Champion award from Imperial Trophies and the Garmn Astro 220 GPS tracking system with the DC-30 collar.
Bob Burgart, who made his second Final Four appearance in as many years at the Heartland Classic with his English Coonhound Simba placed third. He was awarded the 3rd place award from Imperial Trophies and the Tri-tronics G2 Ultra 2-dog training system for his win.
Placing fourth was Al Dancer with Wapsie Bottom Bo Duke. Duk e earned the 4th place award from Imperial Trophies, a 100-dollar gift certificate from Browns Dog Supply and a Bark Collar from Tri-tronics, Inc.
