Winning Plott is also AKC Black Gold Bench Show Spectacular Breed Winner
Pounding Mill, VA – Eric and Leslie Brooks, along with their handsome son Jacob are familiar faces on the AKC Black Gold Bench Show Spectacular Series circuit, especially in the southeast. Traveling to the major shows is an effort that paid off for the Virginia family team as their Plott female, CSG (Supreme Grand Champion) Sideshow Naughty By Nature, won the national breed award for Plotts in 2008 with 95 points and in turn, earning an award check from Black Gold Dog Food in the amount of one thousand dollars. But that’s not the end of the Brooks’ story.
In May, Leslie, who handles “Naughty” in the AKC coonhound shows, beat a strong field consisting of the nation’s top show dog gs at the AKC National Coonhound Championship in Greensburg, Indiana. CSG Naughty By Nature was crowned 2009 AKC National Bench Show Champion in the prestigious championship show judged by Curt Willis of Homer City, Pennsylvania.
CSG Naughty By Nature was co-bred by Leslie and by Lori Mills of Grand Bay, Ala., and was sired by Sidearm Mac Daddy and is out of Sidearm it Ain’t Easy Being Greasy. Lesile purchased Naughty's sire and dam from Lori Mills and is responsible for the cross that produced Naughty. Brooks plans to retire Naughty from the show circuit and was thrilled with the AKC National Championship win.
Congratulations to Eric, Leslie and Jacob from the entire AKC coonhound family. What a prestigious title to win! You make us all very proud!
